Instead of directly addressing the divorce news, Cardi posted a photo of herself on a rooftop, holding her stomach to reveal a baby bump. She captioned it, “With every ending comes a new beginning. You reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion. I love you so much and cannot wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do. It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns, and tests lying down, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through.”
In my mind, that’s exactly how Cardi B talks. Okay, girl, we already knew about the pregnancy. This divorce filing and pregnancy reveal come right after Offset was involved in yet another cheating scandal, this time with his ex, Pretty Red. They were spotted together at a casino, but as usual, Offset denied having any extra-marital affairs, just like he has throughout his marriage to Cardi.
Offset addressed the recent drama on Instagram Live, asserting that there’s nothing going on between him and Pretty Red. He also responded to a post on The Neighborhood Talk, stating, “People really need to do research. I’m at a public place gambling at a casino with a married, 8-month pregnant woman. WTF do I look like being outside publicly cheating?” Many found his implication unconvincing, given his history.
This situation raised questions about why Offset keeps finding himself in such predicaments. Initially, many speculated that Offset’s comment implied he wouldn’t cheat because Cardi, his wife, is 8-months pregnant. However, Pretty Red clarified in The Neighborhood Talk’s comment section that she was at the casino with her family and is also pregnant. She said, “SMH that man wasn’t with me. I was already there with my husband, sister, and brother, and I’m 7 months pregnant. Y’all really have to stop with this type of behavior.”

Okay, maybe Cardi B’s decision to divorce Offset has nothing to do with Pretty Red. A representative for Cardi said the divorce isn’t based on cheating rumors but has been a long time coming. They mentioned that Cardi and Offset have been growing apart for a while and have become disconnected. Another source said, “This didn’t happen overnight. They’ve both been aware of it. Honestly, I think Cardi has been planning this divorce for a while. Just recently, Offset was caught in another cheating scandal. His side piece, Pri, defended herself, saying Offset never got her pregnant. She wrote, “Believe what y’all want. I’m not married. I truly don’t care, but I was never pregnant by that man. What is anybody going to do to me?” This blew up after Pri’s former friend, Lil Blue, revealed that Offset got Pri pregnant and then paid her to terminate the pregnancy.
Lil Blue claimed she was paid $15K to keep quiet about the whole situation. However, after constant harassment and having her home address leaked by Pri, she decided to expose everything. She even shared a screenshot of the transaction to prove Offset paid her. She wrote, “Bud, he offered me $15K to stay quiet. I kept it solid. This was March 6th, the same day/night that Kayla randomly tried to fight me.” But Offset was led to believe that Lil Blue was spreading the news about Pri’s pregnancy. According to Lil Blue, that wasn’t true—it was actually Pri who was spreading the news.
A few days earlier, Offset found himself in hot water again amid rumors that he had impregnated multiple women. A blind item even suggested: “The married, one-named rapper who used to be part of a trio keeps impregnating random women and is high on the scandal list. His wife keeps letting it slide, but she won’t when these women start having the babies and she’ll be stuck with the child support.” People speculated that there might be mistresses involved, some possibly pregnant with Offset’s child, and that this could have been the final straw for Cardi, leading her to decide that divorcing him was the best choice.
A few months before these rumors surfaced, Cardi was already venting online about Offset’s disrespect. They had even broken up at one point. Why was there a video showing one of Offset’s friends walking Jade over to Offset’s table if they just happened to meet at a public place? Then Jade posted about being at a hotel on her stories, and because she’s as messy as Offset—or maybe she did it on purpose—people noticed Offset’s clothes on the bed before she cut her stories. I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing more evidence of Offset and Pretty Red because we’ve seen this pattern with Offset before.
According to the reps, the decision to divorce wasn’t made overnight. Cardi has probably been thinking about it for a while. But what I don’t get is why she got pregnant if she was already considering divorce. Seriously, Cardi, what’s going on? This kind of situation makes people think it might be another PR stunt. The problem is, if it is a PR stunt, it’s hurting Cardi’s career more than helping it. People are saying Offset has turned Cardi’s career into a joke. Every time they have a fallout, she releases an album, but it’s never as good as her first. Now, according to the buzz, Cardi B is just a very famous person who occasionally raps. It’s really sad.
