Judy Jessica Dupart’s life seems to be unraveling, and it might not be long before she reveals her dark past and why she decided to step away from Judy’s larger-than-life persona. But can The Brat really talk about anyone else’s past, considering her own rocky history? It all happened so fast, I didn’t even have time to react. One minute I’m standing there, completely relaxed, and the next, a bottle lands on my head.
Now, sit tight and grab some popcorn because this drama is a full-on mess. If you haven’t heard, rumors are swirling that The Brat and Judy are headed for divorce. On top of that, The Brat is allegedly fighting for full custody of their son. For her to win, she’s going to need to show that she’s a better fit than Judy—and this is where Judy’s questionable behavior comes into play.
Listen, it’s already bad enough that my child doesn’t even get a simple “Hey, Lil James! How’s everything going?” Instead, all he got were broken promises: “I’ll take you here for your birthday.” That never happened. “I’ll take you out just because.” That didn’t happen either. If you saw my child receive something, that’s the only time he actually got it. Otherwise, it never happened.
For some reason, Judy’s name keeps coming up in scandals involving kids. One of the biggest was when she was dragged for how she treated Lil James. People assumed that contract we signed was life-changing, but no, it wasn’t like that at all.
Remember Lil James? He went viral when he was just six or seven for being hilarious, and that’s when Judy reached out to his family, like she’s done with other viral kids before, trying to ride their fame to promote her products. But when things didn’t go her way, she reportedly turned on Lil James, telling him he wasn’t even funny anymore. Some people were saying she actually made this little boy feel like a failure, and according to his mom, Judy was downright cruel.
What made things worse is that she supposedly locked Lil James into a contract to take a cut of the money he made. His mom even opened up about how bad the situation really was, and it was worse than people initially thought.
On top of that, there was another shady move. Judy apparently convinced someone to quit their job to work at her warehouse, promising to take care of rent and give them $1,500 a month for promotion. But the pay didn’t really add up, and they were also supposed to make money from selling shirts, but that fell apart quickly. After Judy took her cut and deducted shipping costs, there was barely anything left to split. The worst part? The person doing all the hard work—packing shirts, sending emails—was told they had to split the remaining money with Judy because they were “business partners.” But as soon as things went south, Judy abandoned the partnership.
It gets even messier. The Brat recently brought attention to another scandal involving Judy, where a child tragically drowned in Judy’s pool. While it was an accident, what shocked people was how Judy tried to shift the blame onto her former assistant and ex-best friend, Shaya Solich. The child’s mother ended up filing a wrongful death lawsuit, which revealed how Judy pointed fingers at Shaya, trying to dodge responsibility.
In the summer of 2018, Judy offered Shaya a position at Kaleidoscope and asked her to move to New Orleans. Shaya’s role was more than just an assistant; although she didn’t have a formal job title, her responsibilities went far beyond making coffee. She took on tasks like organizing events, booking flights and hotels, managing bills, and even providing input on the company’s marketing strategies. Shaya essentially did whatever was needed to keep things running smoothly.
The case in question revolves around a heartbreaking incident that happened on September 5, 2019. Bovie and Kia Joan Juliet Walker’s four-year-old child, Andy, drowned in Judy’s pool. On August 5, 2020, Judy was sued for wrongful death and survival damages related to Andy’s death. Here’s what happened: Kia came to Judy’s Lakeview house in New Orleans that day for a makeup session. Shaya, who was working with Judy at the time, had arranged the appointment with Kia and answered the door when they arrived.
The house had a backyard pool without a security fence or cover. After arriving, Kia and Andy went to a bedroom where Judy was working with a personal stylist. Kia started setting up for the makeup session, and Andy asked if she could see the pool.
According to the lawsuit, Judy initially said she’d take Andy to see the pool once her makeup was finished. However, she later asked Shaya to take Andy to the pool while she wrapped up. After Shaya and Andy left the room, Andy returned briefly and then left again. Kia assumed Shaya was keeping an eye on Andy. When Shaya returned to the bedroom alone about 10 to 15 minutes later, she said she didn’t know where Andy was. Kia quickly went to the pool and tragically found that Andy had drowned.
The lawsuit has stirred up a lot of debate. Kaleidoscope argued that Shaya wasn’t responsible and claimed she wasn’t working within the scope of her job at the time of the incident. They were trying to distance themselves from any blame. Judy also filed a motion arguing that there was no evidence linking her to the responsibility for Shaya’s actions and maintained she had no duty to Andy. The situation has become even more complicated as Shaya and Judy have had a falling out since the incident.
A few years after getting married, Judy named her son “True Legend.” For those who remember, just a year after The Brat and Judy tied the knot, The Brat announced they were expecting their first child. This baby was conceived through IVF using Judy’s egg and sperm from an anonymous donor. At the time, The Brat shared her amazement: “I never thought I was going to have kids. I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’ve had a great career and a full life. I felt like because I didn’t get pregnant earlier, it just wasn’t going to happen for me. I can’t believe he came out of me. It feels like a dream. He’s perfect in every way. The journey to motherhood has been more amazing than we could have ever imagined.”
But here’s where it gets intriguing: Shaya also has two sons named True and Legend. Some people think this might be more than a coincidence. Given Judy’s history, it’s tempting to wonder if she chose those names intentionally to make a statement. After all, she knows the names of Shaya’s kids. Using both names feels deliberate, especially given the history between them. While “True” and “Legend” are fairly common names on their own, naming a child after both seems loaded with meaning.
Shaya didn’t miss this and responded with a post: “There are so many names out there. My sons’ names didn’t need to be used. I suggest you back off. I don’t tolerate anyone who tries to come after my children. I’m ready to defend my family. Using both names is too much. I will protect my peace and my kids. Keep others out of this.”
In a separate post, Shaya expressed her frustration further: “I’m done with your nasty behavior. I’ve kept quiet for years, even when I had the chance to speak out. But naming your child after mine? That’s crossing the line. You were warned to stay away from me and my family. You’re disgusting. Focus on your own life and stop trying to tear others down. I’m trying to move on from the years of damage you’ve caused, and now you’ve named your child after mine? Absolutely unacceptable.”
