Alright, let’s get right to it—I want to talk to Puff right now. Yes, that’s right. There was this documentary that made some claims we all know aren’t true. Look, we don’t waste our time on nonsense; I don’t even entertain it, my brother. So let’s not go down that road, with all due respect. But I appreciate you asking as a journalist.
Thanks for that. Now, Diddy, it’s time to revisit this. Do you think Puffy was involved? That’s a question only he can answer.
Honestly, I do believe he was. I have evidence—things I can share that would back up my claim. But this isn’t something for everyone to know; it’s between him and me. Only he knows the truth. Every time he says it didn’t happen, that’s what keeps this conversation going. I mentioned in the Vibe article that I was ready to move on with my life.
Then out of nowhere, a few issues later—after they took their sweet time—half of New York started chiming in on me. At first, everyone was quiet, saying, “We didn’t see anything.”
Hey everyone, it looks like Diddy has a lot to sweat about these days. I just heard from some reliable sources that the feds looking into his recent troubles are also working with prosecutors on the Tupac Shakur case. They’re trying to connect Diddy to Kefi D and figure out if there’s a motive for Diddy’s possible involvement in Tupac’s tragic death. Honestly, if I hadn’t met him, I wouldn’t even be in this situation. You know what I’m saying? It’s wild.
And it gets even crazier, guys. Tupac’s family has brought in lawyers and private investigators to dig deeper into Diddy’s connection. There’s a whole team looking at this from different angles, so expect some big news to drop soon. But here’s the thing: no one really knows why things went south between Pac and Puff. It’s a mystery. Puff had this strange obsession with Tupac—he wanted to act, he wanted to rap. It was so intense that during his Grammy acceptance speech, he used lines from Tupac’s speech!
Now, we all know that Kefi D, the self-proclaimed gang kingpin from Los Angeles, is currently the only one charged with Tupac’s assassination back in September 1996. But that could change soon because Diddy has been named a staggering 77 times in the documents filed by prosecutors opposing Kefi’s bail request. Sources say the federal investigators who’ve been on Diddy’s case are sharing information with the Los Angeles prosecutors looking into Tupac’s murder, trying to see how Diddy fits into all of this.
An unnamed insider has shared that federal authorities are currently collecting information from Las Vegas prosecutors and their associates about broader allegations tied to illegal activities, organized crime, and individuals who may have had motives to harm Tupac. Initially, it was reported that no one from the District Attorney’s office was ready to suggest that Diddy was a part of this case. Their main focus was on building a solid case to convince a jury that Kefi was the person who made the call, and they felt confident they had enough evidence to support that.
But now, things have changed. The feds are working together to piece together how Diddy might be involved. Sources indicate that federal investigators are looking into Diddy’s recent activities, while also acknowledging that Las Vegas has been compiling information on the Tupac case for the last few years and speaking with numerous witnesses. Their investigation, which pulls together nearly 30 years of files on Kefi and his connections to criminal elements, is the most extensive inquiry into Tupac’s death and its related networks ever conducted.
Federal agents have been smart about this; they haven’t duplicated efforts but have stayed informed about what’s happening. This collaboration makes it easier for them to access federal documents, as they know who Metro investigators have talked to and who the witnesses are. There’s a chance they already have something on Diddy. Retired head of the Los Angeles field office, Phil Carson, mentioned to the Daily Mail that he suspects Kefi D may have turned against Diddy to save himself.
He said, “It’s not like the old days with the Italian mafia when everyone kept quiet. The minute someone gets arrested, they’re ready to sell out their own mother.” Now that Kefi’s been taken into custody, things are about to get interesting. They probably have something on him, and that could push him to start talking. He’s an OG from that scene and has rubbed shoulders with some major players. Each of those guys has stories about how the streets were run back then, so who’s to say Kefi won’t start spilling secrets he’s kept under wraps to save himself?
Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean Kefi’s arrest is the reason federal agents raided Diddy’s house, but it sure raises questions about what evidence they had and where it came from to get those warrants. It must be something solid.
Remember Greg Kading, the retired LAPD detective who looked into Tupac’s case back in 2008 and 2009? He revealed that Kefi gave his nephew, Anderson, the gun that ended Tupac’s life while they were in the car together, and they went out that night with the intent to target Tupac. If you’ve seen Kading’s documentary, you know he talked about how Diddy allegedly put a $1 million hit on both Tupac and Suge Knight, following the highly publicized rap feud involving himself and Biggie, hiring Kefi D to carry out the hit.
The documentary claims that it was actually Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, a Crips gang member, who shot Tupac, even though Kefi D was supposed to be the one doing it. Plans changed at the last minute when they ended up approaching Tupac’s car from the wrong side, so Kefi’s nephew ended up carrying out the hit instead. In the documentary, Kefi D also mentioned that Biggie’s then-wife, Faith Evans, allegedly knew about Diddy’s plan to take out Tupac. He even said he reached out to both Diddy and Faith to let them know they were responsible for the murder.
The detective made it clear that Biggie had nothing to do with Tupac’s death, despite their infamous feud. He pointed out that Biggie was completely unaware of Diddy’s plans to take out both Tupac and his manager, Suge Knight. Diddy, on the other hand, definitely knew what was going on. When the detective was asked about Kefi D, he told the Daily News, “You can really sense that he’s being genuine and straightforward. He talks like someone who was actually there, and his story flows naturally.”
What really sealed the deal for us was the amount of corroboration behind Kefi D’s claims. He revealed details that only someone involved could possibly know. For instance, he mentioned a secondary incident that night, which investigators had kept under wraps. Plus, Kefi D has said enough to basically implicate himself in Tupac’s murder. During an interview with Vlad TV, he went into specific detail about what went down that fateful night.
Lane asked, “So, you’re saying he looks over and sees you?”
“Yeah, he looks right at me.”
“And he’s looking at you, right?”
“Yeah, he’s looking at me.”
“Okay, when he looks over at you, what’s happening with Tupac? Is he trying to get out of the back seat or something?”
“I saw a bullet go through his head. I thought he was dead. I really thought he was dead.”
Orlando chimed in, “He leaned over to the window; we rolled it down.”
“If they’d driven by my side, I would’ve shot at them, you know? But they were on the other side, right?”
Kefi D pretty much confirmed he was one of the four people in that white Cadillac that pulled up next to Tupac’s car and opened fire with four shots. This wasn’t the first time he mentioned this; he also bragged about it in his memoir, Compton Street Legends.
In that same Vlad TV interview, Kefi D claimed that a famous hip-hop star had paid $1 million for the hit, which was funneled to gang member Eric Von Zip. He never revealed who that star was but has hinted in the past that it could be Diddy. These revelations have popped up in court, and as the case develops, Tupac’s family is actively seeking justice. Recently, Tupac’s brother, Mopreme, and other family members made it clear that they’re ready to take action to find whoever is responsible for Tupac’s death.
At the end of the day, while we may never know for certain if Diddy is really connected to Tupac’s murder, it’s clear that this situation is heating up, and we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on it.
