Diddy’s mom, Janice Combs, recently spoke out about her son’s arrest, calling it a “public lynching” before he’s had a chance to prove his innocence. But a lot of people think she should’ve stayed quiet, especially given some shady things about her own past that are surfacing. I’m not justifying what Diddy’s alleged victims went through, but when you look at his upbringing, you have to wonder if his environment played a role.
It’s been said that Janice ran a questionable house when Diddy was young, and some of the men around him probably weren’t the best influences. In fact, there are rumors that she might even be involved in some of Diddy’s alleged crimes, and there are reports that the Feds could be investigating her now too. To make things worse, Diddy’s sister, Kesha, seems to be getting dragged into the mess as well.
And if Janice is trying to convince people her son isn’t guilty, why are there reports of Diddy’s associates harassing the people who are speaking out? Even from behind bars, it sounds like he’s still got power, with his crew on the outside threatening accusers and making sure no other high-profile names get caught up in the scandal.
Before we get into what’s happening with Janice and the family, there are a lot of claims out there saying that accusers are being silenced for speaking up, and people are still afraid of Diddy. Even with all the evidence that’s come to light, one source told People, “He’s so powerful; everyone was scared to cross him.” And even though he’s behind bars now, his influence is still huge. “We all knew it back then. People always brushed off his need to control things as part of his creative genius. He’s smart, he knows a lot of people, and he’s done favors for many, so a lot of people owe him.”
The source went on to say that Diddy is still capable of more than most people think. What’s scary is that he knows a lot of people in Hollywood, and not just the entertainment industry, are in his debt, and allegedly, he’s using that against them. Tony Busby, the lawyer representing 120 accusers and leading multiple lawsuits against Diddy, said that many big-name celebrities are already trying to settle quietly to avoid being publicly named.
“A lot of people just let this happen. They stayed quiet, didn’t step in, and maybe even made a profit off it. I believe that all these individuals and organizations are now in a vulnerable position.” He also mentioned that his law firm is gearing up to sue some high-profile celebrities, but they’re offering them a chance to settle first. He noted that a few have already decided to go that route. “In every case, especially ones like this, we take the time to gather our evidence and really understand what the accusers are saying because it’s in everyone’s best interest. We try to resolve these issues without resorting to public lawsuits, and we’ve already managed to do that with a few well-known names.”
He’s already sent demand letters to celebrities, including Diddy, warning them about the potential legal consequences of their alleged actions. He said he wouldn’t be naming anyone just yet, wanting to ensure that he has solid evidence before going public. But when he does drop those names, he believes it’s going to create quite a stir.
There are some rumors that high-profile individuals might be trying to intimidate or silence their accusers. Reports have surfaced claiming that Diddy’s associates have threatened some of the accusers, which has led to discussions about whether his mother, Janice, should really be defending him publicly.
In case you missed it, Janice Colmes released a statement through her attorney expressing how “profoundly saddened” she is by the allegations against her son. She emphasized that he deserves the opportunity to prove his innocence in court. She also pointed out how “heartbreaking” it is to see him judged based on a narrative filled with lies. Janice mentioned the hotel video involving Diddy and Cassie, stating, “I’m not trying to paint my son as perfect; he’s not. He has made mistakes in his life, just like everyone else. He may not have been entirely truthful about everything, like when he denied being rough with an ex-girlfriend, especially when the hotel surveillance footage suggested otherwise.”
Janice’s statement continued, “Sometimes, the truth and a lie get so tangled up that it becomes terrifying to admit any part of the story, especially when the truth is complicated or goes against what people want to believe. I think that’s why my son’s legal team chose to settle the lawsuit with his ex-girlfriend instead of fighting it out in court, which unfortunately led to the federal government interpreting that as an admission of guilt. It’s painful to watch the world laugh and joke about my son’s life falling apart in front of our eyes. It’s truly agonizing to see how quickly people can turn against him based on lies and misconceptions, without ever hearing his side of the story.”
In her statement, Janice suggested that some individuals might be making false allegations to cash in quickly after seeing how her son settled the first lawsuit. She believes the federal government is using these untruths to go after her son, calling this injustice “unbearable” for their family. The hardest part for her, she shared, is watching her beloved son lose his dignity—not for what he did, but for what others choose to believe about him. She urged the public, as well as her son’s fans and supporters, not to rush to judgment, saying, “My son is not the monster they’ve made him out to be, and he deserves a chance to share his side. I can only hope I live to see him tell his truth and find vindication.”
It really doesn’t seem like Janice actually wrote that statement herself, does it? A lot of people are saying it sounds like it was crafted for PR purposes. Her claim about wanting to see her son vindicated while she’s still alive feels more like a way to get sympathy. Remember a few months back when Janice was hospitalized for chest discomfort? The cause of her pain was unclear at the time. Diddy was in Miami, but he rushed to the hospital at his mother’s request.
Reports suggested that Janice thought her pain was due to the stress of her son’s legal troubles, including a federal investigation and several civil lawsuits. The doctors decided to keep her in the hospital for more testing, and sources said Diddy stayed by her side to provide comfort. It’s possible she figured playing the “sick card” might win Diddy some sympathy.
Unfortunately, that approach doesn’t seem to be working out well. After her statement went public, Janice faced a lot of backlash on social media, with many people accusing her of contributing to Diddy’s current mess. A video surfaced of Diddy and his mother kissing, which many found pretty unsettling, especially considering Diddy’s age. In that same video, Diddy joked that his mom is single and looking for companionship and even mentioned taking her to strip clubs.
If you look closely, both Diddy and Janice appeared to be hooked up to IV fluids, which reminded some folks of what the Feds reported happened after a wild night at the freak-offs. When they arrested Diddy, the list of charges included incidents connected to those freak-off events and SL parties, which were said to be elaborate productions organized and often filmed by Colmes.
In this section, it’s claimed that Diddy was luring women in with promises of real romantic connections. Once he gained their trust, he allegedly used force and intimidation to pressure them into having prolonged sexual encounters with male staff. Afterward, these women supposedly received IV fluids to help them recover physically. There are even rumors that Diddy’s mom was spotted in some of the tapes that were seized during the federal raid on his home.
It’s also interesting to note that Janice, Diddy’s mother, raised him, so she witnessed his behavior develop long before he became the public figure he is today. Several women who went to Harvard with Diddy shared with Rolling Stone that they saw early signs of a controlling personality. They recalled incidents of unwanted touching and explosive outbursts from him towards women he was interested in. One woman mentioned that she kept her distance after he unexpectedly caressed her back, while another said Diddy completely lost it when she called him out for cutting in line at the cafeteria.
Another former classmate recounted how Diddy would often annoy a girl by tapping on the window of her English class, trying to convince her to skip class with him. There was also an anonymous woman who saw Diddy outside their dorm, screaming for his girlfriend to come out. Not long after, he was spotted climbing four stories up to break into her window. It’s crucial to remember that all of this happened decades ago, and if his mom had addressed his behavior back then, maybe things wouldn’t have escalated to where they are now.
