If you grew up watching Disney Channel, you probably remember Skai Jackson as Zuri Ross from Jessie. Now, the same Skai who made us laugh on TV is adding a whole new title to her life—she’s a mom, y’all!
But here’s the twist: out of all the men she could’ve chosen to be the father of her child, Skai went for one of the messiest baby daddies ever. His name? Yery Yery—yes, you read that right. Who calls themselves Yery?
So, here’s the backstory. I’m not sure when exactly Skai and Yery got together, but in February 2024, Skai posted a Snapchat showing her posing next to a mystery man. She covered his face with an emoji and wrote, “Showing my new BF.”
I honestly wish people hadn’t dug into Yery’s past because what we’ve uncovered about him—against our will, mind you—has been a mess. And it’s only gotten messier in the months that followed.
Apparently, Skai reached out to him while he was locked up, and they started messaging. Once he got out, they made things official. She apparently spotted him on a TikTok from behind bars, and that’s how their relationship started.
Things only get crazier from there. Yery reportedly bragged that he would smile in his mugshot if he got arrested for beating Skai up.
But wait, there’s more. Back in August 2024, Skai was arrested after the police saw her pushing Yery multiple times. This happened before she revealed her pregnancy. During her arrest, Skai allegedly told police she was pregnant and engaged. The District Attorney decided not to file charges, though, since Yery refused to cooperate and there were no signs of injuries.
When Skai was seen out after the arrest, she was photographed covering her stomach with a big jacket, matching slippers, and a pink bonnet to hide her belly.
But get this: just the day before, Skai and Yery were seen arguing in public, and whatever was said left Skai in tears. That’s when the internet started to suspect something wasn’t right.
Fast forward to November, when Skai announced her pregnancy, only for a Facebook post from Yery’s account to go viral. It called Skai a “dumb a** Disney Channel b**ch” and said, “I hate this h.” Yikes. Fans were livid, wondering why Skai would stay with someone who disrespects her like that.

So, here’s the thing—Skai and her mom were defending Yery, saying that his account had been hacked, but there’s more to the story. Allegedly, Yery threatened Skai’s mom, which might explain why they were sticking up for him. And, honestly, it didn’t stop there. On that same live, Yery straight-up disrespected Skai’s late friend, Cameron Boyce, which really crossed a line. He said, “Stop comparing me to a dead—cool is y’all cool? Y’all keep on comparing me to a dead—like yie.” This comment, of course, stirred up a huge backlash, especially since Cameron tragically passed away in 2019.
To make matters worse, during that live, Yery casually mentioned that he was single, leaving everyone to question what was going on with his relationship with Skai. And if you thought things couldn’t get more dramatic, Yoryki was arrested in his hometown of Cincinnati after violating parole. He tried to run from the police, but after a short chase, they caught up with him and pinned him to the ground. The video of the arrest showed the whole thing, with officers wrestling him down before they cuffed him.
