The story of Kathy White and her alleged connection to Jay-Z continues to fuel speculation and mystery. Some people believe there’s a possibility that Kathy’s child is still alive—and could even be Blue Ivy, the daughter of Jay-Z and Beyoncé. This theory has led to even more provocative questions: Did Beyoncé have any involvement in what happened to Kathy? Will the truth about Kathy White ever fully come to light?
Adding to the intrigue is the disappearance of photos showing Jay-Z and Kathy together. Many people recall seeing these images years ago, but now they seem to have vanished from the internet. Why were they removed? Could Jay-Z be hiding something about Kathy White and her untimely death? Some rumors even suggest that Kathy might have had a child with Jay-Z, and that the child is still out there.
The rumors about Jay-Z and Kathy first gained traction after they were seen together at a Las Vegas nightclub in 2010, alongside Claudia Jordan and Diddy. Beyoncé was notably absent. Reports claim that Jay-Z had a relationship with Kathy long before marrying Beyoncé. Allegedly, during a trip to Las Vegas for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Juan Manuel Márquez fight, Jay-Z went out of his way to lavish attention on Kathy, including buying her a $2,500 pair of Louis Vuitton shoes. To avoid raising suspicion, he reportedly encouraged her to bring friends to the outing.
Then there’s the curious case of the missing photos. Images of Jay-Z and Kathy that once circulated online have mysteriously disappeared, just as questions about their relationship began to surface. Who is responsible for scrubbing these pictures from the internet? And why? The unanswered questions surrounding this story keep the rumors alive and leave people wondering what the real truth might be.
Two weeks before Kathy’s death, a major tabloid reached out to her, investigating rumors of an affair with Jay-Z. While she reportedly didn’t offer much information at first, sources say she later called Jay-Z, telling him she was planning to go public with their relationship—for a price.
Then, just 48 hours after Beyoncé announced her pregnancy with Jay-Z’s child, Kathy suddenly passed away under strange circumstances. The official cause of death was reported as a brain aneurysm, but an NYPD detective later expressed doubts about this.
“A 911 call came in from an apartment at 130 West 19th Street in Manhattan. Ambulance crews transported Kathy to Beth Israel Hospital, where she died. At this stage, it’s too early to say an aneurysm was the cause. We’ve conducted an autopsy and toxicology tests to figure out what happened.”
The detective added that it would take about two weeks to receive the toxicology report, suggesting that someone might have given Kathy a dangerous substance. But after the detective’s statement, the story seemed to disappear.
Speculation began to swirl that Beyoncé could have been involved in Kathy’s death, just as much as Jay-Z. Some wondered if Kathy’s own pregnancy announcement had forced Beyoncé to rush hers. There were even rumors that Beyoncé had used a surrogate to carry Blue Ivy, given the suspicious timing.
Conspiracy theories also pointed to Beyoncé’s song “Daughter” from her Cowboy Carter album, with lyrics that seemed to reference Kathy’s death:
“Your body laid out on these filthy floors,
Your blood stains on my custom couture…”
Though these claims remain unverified, many, including Liz Crokin, want answers. Liz, a senior editor at Star Magazine in 2011, was assigned to investigate Kathy White’s alleged affair with Jay-Z.
Liz said, “I contacted Kathy at her job in New York. She denied having any relationship with Jay-Z and insisted she had never met him. But then, I found photos of her with Jay-Z and Diddy in Las Vegas. When I confronted her, she told me she was considering going public with her story.”
Liz noted that shortly after their conversation, Kathy became unreachable. Days later, Liz was informed by a colleague that Kathy had passed away.
After their conversation, she shared that several online blogs had reported the same story. She had written a small piece on it, which was published in Star at the time. She also expressed an interest in digging deeper into the story, particularly to investigate whether the claims of Kathy being “unalived” were true. However, she was discouraged from pursuing it further, and her boss wasn’t keen on running a follow-up article.
Years later, Kathy revealed that she had met sources who were close to both Jay-Z and Kathy and had insider knowledge about her death. These sources were convinced that Jay-Z had been responsible for having Kathy silenced. One source even told Kathy that Jay-Z had law enforcement and coroners “in his pocket,” and claimed that some corrupt coroners in New York City would misclassify homicides as natural deaths for a bribe.
Recently, Liz has also been speaking out about the case, still convinced that Kathy was indeed “unalived.” “What do you mean she’s dead? You know what happened to her?” Liz questioned. “She was just this beautiful, young woman, 28 years old, seemingly in perfect health. I was told she didn’t have any health problems. It was just shocking to hear. Her colleague didn’t know how or why she died, just that she was gone.”
She continued, “When I heard this, I found it deeply troubling. It’s disturbing that this woman, who may have been about to give me an exclusive story on her affair with one of the most powerful rappers in the world… that’s very unsettling. And it’s certainly convenient for Jay-Z, isn’t it, that she died?”
It’s also been suggested that Jay-Z and Beyoncé believed the public wouldn’t investigate Kathy’s death too closely because Kathy had openly admitted to only dating extremely wealthy men. She wouldn’t even look at a man unless his net worth exceeded $50 million, which made Jay-Z the perfect match. This was a pattern Kathy followed with her friend Claudia, who also had a similar reputation.
Claudia has faced repeated calls to speak up about Kathy’s death, with many claiming she knows more than she’s letting on. In 2020, Crazy Days and Nights ran a blind item stating:
“This A-list host/SL model is also an actress. She’s always stayed quiet about the death of her friend but has become more convinced over the years that the permanent A+ list rapper had her friend un-alived. It just seemed too convenient that he wanted her out of the picture, and shortly after, she was dead.”
The blind item later revealed that the A-list host was Claudia Jordan, the rapper was Jay-Z, and the deceased friend was Kathy. Not long ago, Claudia responded to people urging her to speak out, saying she and Kathy weren’t close friends.
She explained, “It wouldn’t be unusual to run into people like Diddy, Jay-Z, Eve, or Lil’ Kim—they’d be out there for that. We ran into him once, then again at his concert, but he wasn’t paying my friend any attention. We were all there, and he was just being polite. He wasn’t flirting with anyone. Nothing was going on. So, stop spreading this false narrative.”
Back in 2008, blogger Jackie Jasper of Hollywood Street King published a story that Claudia later responded to. According to Claudia, “He was fed lies by my hating ex who was trying to ruin my reputation. So, he took whatever he could—‘Oh, she was doing this, she was doing that.’ She’s jealous that he hit on her, not her. It’s not true, and y’all are running with just one source. Then Jaguar gets involved, repeats it, and y’all believe it.”
Claudia went on to say, “I’m not saying Jaguar doesn’t speak some truth—I don’t know her like that—but when it comes to me, I was never J’s girl. And if you had an address, I’d serve you, but you don’t. Can’t serve the homeless.”
She clarified that her connection with Kathy White was nothing more than a casual acquaintance. They hung out a few times in 2010, but Kathy never mentioned anything about being involved with Jay-Z, let alone being pregnant by him. “We drank, gambled, and played craps in Vegas. No Jay-Z. She was never pregnant around me. I’m so tired of hearing this story,” she said.
However, photos of Claudia and Kathy together paint a different picture. There are also reports that Claudia was at Kathy’s apartment after the 911 call was made, which has raised questions about why Claudia now denies being close with Kathy when they were once said to be “thick as thieves.”
Some people wonder if Jay-Z paid Claudia to deny their relationship—who knows? It’s all a bit crazy, but what do you think? Could Blue Ivy be Kathy’s child, or is there another child involved that hasn’t been revealed? Does Claudia know more about what really happened to Kathy? The Kathy White story just keeps getting juicier, and I’m eager to hear your thoughts. Sound off in the comments below!
