It seems like Alex Speo might need to take a breather and slow down because it looks like he accidentally exposed “Celebrity B” in the Jane Doe lawsuit against Diddy and Jay-Z.
For weeks, everyone’s been speculating about the identity of the female celebrity tied to the case. Now, Jay-Z’s lawyer allegedly let it slip that it’s Jennifer Lopez. The court documents reportedly say: “Mr. Colmes and Miss Jennifer Lopez were both at Lotus and Twirl.” Why is JLo’s name even coming up in a lawsuit involving Diddy and Jay-Z? Maybe Alex is spreading himself too thin, and this slip-up was bound to happen.
On top of that, old photos have resurfaced showing JLo arguing with Diddy on the same night as the alleged incident, adding more fuel to the fire. This raises questions—did she meet up with Jay-Z later that evening? And why is JLo’s name popping up in another lawsuit? This time, a male prisoner named Derek Lee Cardello Smith is accusing Diddy of violating him, and somehow, she’s being dragged into it, too.
Honestly, this isn’t looking great for JLo.
As for the Jane Doe case, here’s what’s being claimed: Jane Doe says the incident happened after she was taken to an MTV Music Video Awards afterparty. She says she was dropped off at Radio City Music Hall by a friend without a ticket and started asking limo drivers for help getting in. One driver, who allegedly worked for Diddy, reportedly told her she fit “what Diddy was looking for.”
This entire situation keeps getting messier by the minute.
The driver later picked her up, and after about 20 minutes, she was dropped off at a white house with a U-shaped driveway. There, she was reportedly asked to sign a document that she believed was a non-disclosure agreement, with the stipulation that she couldn’t talk about what happened at the party. However, she didn’t receive a copy of the document. Afterward, she says she was offered a drink that made her feel dizzy, lightheaded, and like she needed to lie down. She says she walked down a hallway with several rooms and eventually entered what seemed like an empty bedroom to rest.
According to her lawsuit, the room only had a large bed and no furniture, TV, or anything else. She claims that P. Diddy and Jay-Z entered the room shortly after, with P. Diddy allegedly saying, “You are ready to party.” That’s when she says Jay-Z removed her clothes, held her down, and assaulted her while P. Diddy and a female celebrity looked on. She then alleges that P. Diddy also assaulted her while Jay-Z and the woman watched. Eventually, she managed to escape the room.
In the lawsuit, Jane Doe claims that although there were other people at the party, no one seemed to notice her distress or offer help. After the incident, she says she ran to the nearest gas station and called her father. She also says she fell into a deep depression, which still affects many aspects of her life. She now suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and a seizure disorder caused by stress and trauma, and she finds it difficult to maintain normal relationships, leading her to withdraw from social life.
Things took an unexpected turn when Jane Doe did an interview with NBC. During their investigation, NBC found several inconsistencies. For instance, Jane Doe said her father picked her up after the incident, but her father told NBC he didn’t remember this. She also claimed to have spoken to Benji Madden at the afterparty, but his representative said he wasn’t in New York at the time. Additionally, photos from that evening show Jay-Z and P. Diddy at a different location than Jane Doe described, though their exact whereabouts throughout the night remain unclear.
Jane Doe, however, insists that she stands by her allegations, explaining that the inconsistencies in her story about the incident—said to have occurred 20 years ago—don’t necessarily mean her claims are false. In an interview with NBC News, she shared that she now has two children, a son and a daughter. She also revealed that she served for less than a year in the Army National Guard, leaving with the rank of private. She later earned her high school diploma and a Christian counseling certificate to help others who have experienced similar situations.
Meanwhile, there’s growing speculation that the female celebrity at the center of the case is Jennifer Lopez—largely thanks to Jay-Z’s own lawyer. In a filing where he argues for the dismissal of the lawsuit, Alex, Jay-Z’s attorney, mentioned that Diddy was with JLo that night. Why single out Jennifer Lopez like that, especially when there had already been rumors suggesting she might be Celebrity B?
It could have just been an innocent mistake, but what if it wasn’t? What if it was intentional—throwing JLo into the spotlight, especially when people were already guessing that Celebrity B could be Beyoncé? While Alex may have been trying to clarify that Jay-Z wasn’t with Diddy that night, his words might have unintentionally confirmed that Diddy was indeed with JLo. And if anyone had witnessed the events of that evening, it seems likely it was her.
Additionally, although JLo wasn’t named in the lawsuit, recently resurfaced photos have brought attention back to that night. One of these photos shows Jennifer Lopez in a tense conversation with Diddy. In the picture, Diddy holds a drink in his right hand while leaning on the wall with his left, standing just behind Lopez in what looks like a heated moment.
A guest who attended an exclusive event recently recalled a tense situation between Diddy and Jennifer Lopez. According to the guest, the night began with Diddy holding a crystal champagne bottle and serving drinks to his guests while everyone danced and had fun. However, as the evening went on, tensions grew between Diddy and JLo.
Despite being seen having a heated argument, Diddy left the event with Lopez and his entourage. It’s unclear whether they headed to a second location where the alleged incident in the lawsuit took place, but if they did, it’s possible that the “Celebrity B” in the lawsuit refers to Jennifer Lopez.
Lopez is the key figure who could clarify what happened that night and either clear or implicate Jay-Z. But this isn’t the only lawsuit involving Lopez.
In a separate legal matter, Derek Lee Cardello Smith, a male prisoner, filed a lawsuit against Diddy, claiming that he was sexually assaulted. Smith said he met Diddy at an afterparty at a Detroit Holiday Inn in June 1997. He recalled drinking with Diddy and some female guests, initially believing Diddy to be a decent guy. Smith later joined Diddy and two women in a hotel room. While interacting with one of the women, he claimed Diddy touched him inappropriately. Smith disengaged, but when Diddy noticed, he allegedly offered Smith a drink. After drinking, Smith passed out. When he woke up, he was in pain.
Smith then filed a police report, claiming that Diddy bribed Detroit and Monroe police officers to cover up the incident. He also alleged that Diddy visited him in prison and sent a financial advisor to offer him $2.3 million to drop the lawsuit, which he rejected. Smith produced a 1997 confidentiality agreement that he claimed was signed by Diddy and other officials, including Michigan police officers. Initially, Diddy didn’t respond to the lawsuit, and a judge ordered him to pay a $100 million default judgment. However, Diddy’s lawyers later disputed the claims, calling Smith a convicted felon and fraudster.
The judgment was eventually overturned, but Smith is pressing on with his case, introducing a witness who allegedly saw him meet with Diddy. He also plans to call Jennifer Lopez to testify, suggesting that she knows more about the situation.
Lopez’s involvement in Diddy’s past legal matters isn’t new. She was also named in a lawsuit filed by Lil Rod, who claimed that she was involved in an incident at a nightclub in New York in 1999 while she and Diddy were together. The incident allegedly occurred during a celebration for Shyne’s upcoming album release.
The lawsuit suggests that JLo was the one who brought a gun into the club and handed it over to Diddy, who allegedly had plans to harm someone. After the incident, both of them reportedly fled the scene, lied about what happened, and even made sure JLo lied to both the police and the grand jury. In the end, they managed to have someone else take the fall for their actions.
What’s particularly ironic is that there was a grand jury, and JLo, along with several others, had to testify. In his lawsuit, Lil Rod mentioned the 1999 incident, claiming Diddy bragged about getting away with crimes. Lil Rod even pointed out that Diddy was the one behind the nightclub shooting involving Shyne because he boasted about evading justice.
With all these connections, people are now calling on JLo to address the ongoing lawsuit involving Jay-Z. Since it’s already been established that she was with Diddy that night, all she has to do is explain where they went after their argument and whether Jay-Z was anywhere near Diddy.
Do you think Jay-Z’s lawyer brought up JLo’s name on purpose to throw her under the bus? Do you think JLo is a key figure in this case? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
